“We have to be careful with China. I have a good relationship with (Chinese) President Xi Jinping, but sometimes it’s a rocky relationship because China likes to take advantage of people and they can’t take advantage of us, but we have a fair relationship with China and I think we’ll be fine. If not, that’s fine too,” he told reporters during a White House meeting with Argentine President Javier Milei, according to TASS.
Regarding other countries’ cooperation with China, the US leader said, “Everyone does business with China. They have to do business with us.”
President Trump also said he opposes any defense cooperation between Argentina and China.
“We can do some trade, but we should never do anything more than that. We certainly shouldn’t do anything military or anything to do with China. And if that’s what’s happening, I’d be very angry about it,” the US president said.
