The president visited the hospital on Sunday night.
Earlier in the day he attended a meeting in central Tehran. There, hundreds of thousands gathered to show support for the military.

Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei, the leader of the Islamic Revolution, appointed a new military commander that same day, saying life would be dark for Israel. Shortly afterwards, Iranian forces promised Israel to “open the gates of hell,” and began a wave of punitive strikes within Israel’s occupied territory, struck sensitive sites in Tel Aviv, Jerusalem and Haifa, and visited missile and drone salvos, even within the cities.
The US launched a strike against Iran’s nuclear facility on Sunday, becoming the direct party in Israel’s invasion.
Ayatollah Khamenei had already warned the United States that the intervention would make America “irreparable harm.”
