TEHRAN – Iran’s Press TV has officially launched its Hebrew language service to reach a wider audience around the world.
The service is currently accessible through an active X account (@PresstvHebrew) and a dedicated Telegram channel (@PresstvHebrew), and a full website will be launched in the near future.
Hebrew Services delivers news, in-depth analysis and commentary on local and international trends.
According to Ahmad Norouzi, director of global services at the Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting Corporation (IRIB), the channel’s main mission is to expose facts that the Israeli authorities are trying to hide, and in particular to highlight the harsh censorship imposed on Israeli Hebrew media during the recent conflict.
The opening follows a recent resolution by the Supreme Council of the Iranian Cultural Revolution directing IRIB to establish an international Hebrew television network.
The council said the initiative aims to counter propaganda by the Israeli regime and its affiliated media, strengthen Iran’s media diplomacy and more accurately portray regional events and the Iranian people’s perspective.
