Israel Channel 12 reports that protesters blocked the southbound Eyan Highway in Tel Aviv on Tuesday morning, demanding a prisoner of war and a ceasefire in Gaza.
The scene aired by activists and the media was shown to protesters with the big flag with the phrase “occupying Gaza means sacrificeing adductees and soldiers,” Al Jazeera reported.
Haaretz said activists seeking a captive deal blocked Ayyon Highway for 15 minutes before police waiting at the scene deleted them. Seven demonstrators and one Harletts photographer were threatened with traffic fines, the paper said.
Fried’s prisoner relatives also temporarily blocked southbound traffic and sought a contract to release people still held in Gaza, opposed Israel’s planned conquest of Gaza city, Wala reported.
“They don’t have time, they have contracts at the table,” protesters chanted, “All murders, enough bereavement, most of all hostages.”
The action comes two days after a massive crossing Israel strike that blocked the road, demonstrators are seeking a ceasefire contract.
