Russian President Vladimir Putin on Tuesday discussed progress between Iran and the US on Tuesday about discussions on progress with Iranian President Masuud Pezeshkian, the Kremlin said.
Putin said Russia is ready to promote Iran-US dialogue to reach a “fair agreement.”
They also discussed bilateral relations, including the development of major energy projects, the Kremlin said.
In this conversation, Pezeshkian and Putin considered the signing of a comprehensive strategic cooperation agreement between the two countries, examining clear indications of the depth of relations between Tehran and Moscow, as well as clear indications of turning points that will strengthen political, economic, trade and security cooperation between Iran and the Islamic Republic of the Russian Federation, highlighting the decision and will of the two countries.
In this phone conversation, the Russian president expressed regret over the explosion at Shahid Rajae port and expressed sadness to the government and Iranian people that he had lost many of his Iranian compatriots. The Iranian president also praised the Russian government’s expression of sympathy and his participation in firefighting operations in the incident.
