Tehran – From the current water year (September 23, 2024) to March 14, national sediment reached 96.6 mm, indicating a 36% decrease compared to 152.4 mm recorded at the same time last year, according to the measurement organization.

From the beginning of the last Iranian month (February 19) to March 14, about 22.9 mm of rainfall was recorded, showing a 4% decrease compared to the long-term 23.9 mm.
From the beginning of winter until March 14th, recorded rainfall amounted to 62.7 mm, 32.8% less than the normal amount recorded, and 93.3%.
Mazandaran is the only state with more rainfall compared to the long-term average, experiencing an increase of 3.7 mm.
There is less precipitation in other states than usual. Hormozgan has the lowest rainfall, recording 71.2% of rain than usual.
Tehran is one of the fewest rainfall provinces. In the current water year, we only received an average of 98.5 mm. This shows a 39.9% decrease compared to the recorded 163.8 mm on the long-term average.

The average rainfall is projected to be lower than normal from March 10th to April 4th, and lower than normal from April 5th to 20th, according to the Metology organization.
From March 17th to 24th, precipitation is predicted to be less than normal in most parts of the country and normal in parts of the country’s northwest and west.
In the northern half of the country, the temperature reaches 3-6°C and exceeds 6°C in some of the strips in the northwest. Other components have temperatures below 3°C.
