Abbas Araguchi made comments at a joint press conference with Egyptian Badr Abdelatti in Cairo on Monday.
“We are ready to assure every aspect of the peaceful nature of the nuclear program,” said Iran’s top negotiator in nuclear talks with the United States.
Aragut criticized the West’s silence over the Israeli regime’s nuclear warhead weapons, noting that “the West is turning a blind eye to Israel’s nuclear threat.”
“Non-proliferation treaties (NPTs) should be implemented in all countries,” he stressed, adding that “the Israeli threat to Israel’s peaceful nuclear program is a crime.”
He added, “If the demand is not realistic and if the other side is trying to take nuclear rights from Iran, there will be no nuclear deal.”
He called on the UN nuclear watchdog to resist Western pressures over Iran’s nuclear program.
He thanked Egypt for his support.
The Iranian minister also mentioned the deplorable situation in the Gaza Strip, saying Iran and Egypt want an immediate, durable ceasefire.
Regarding Iran-Egypt relations, Aragut said “promoting relations with Egypt is our priority.”
Egypt’s Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatti said “development has been made in relations with Iran, which benefits the region.”
“We will utilize our good relations with Iran to achieve peace and prosperity.”
“We should respect the integrity of our neighbor’s territory,” he continued.
“Escalation of tensions with Iran will help the situation get out of control,” Abdelatti further warned.
