“The Secretary-General repeats his call for an immediate, complete and unconditional ceasefire as the first step towards just, comprehensive and sustainable peace in Ukraine. The end of that,” Dujarric told Tass.
On August 15th, a summit between Russia and the United States took place at a military base in Alaska. The lecture lasted over three hours and included several formats. It is a one-on-one format with a small group of American leaders limos and “three three threes” on the way to the main venue. The Russian delegation included Kremlin aides Yury Ushakov and Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, while the US delegation included Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Trump’s special mission, Steve Witkov.
After the talks, Putin told the press that reconciliation of the Ukrainian conflict was a major topic of the summit. The Russian leader also called for a return to new beginnings and cooperation from bilateral relations. He invited Trump to Moscow. On his part, the US President announced the progress made in consultations, but noted that both sides have not reached an agreement on everything.
Similarly, the US president said that some progress had been made, but added that the aspects opposed some aspects. In an interview with Fox News, Trump later ranked the conference as 10 out of 10, saying that deals on Ukraine could reach fairly quickly.
