Tehran – Razieh Alishvandi, director of the Iranian Red Crescent Association for International Affairs (IRCS), has announced that IRCS is ready to send rescue units and relief supplies to help those affected by the earthquake in Myanmar.
The 7.7 magnitude earthquake, Myanmar’s second largest city, caused Mandalay and Thailand to destroy buildings on Friday, causing damage to temples and infrastructure.
At least 1,000 individuals died in the strong earthquake, but the number of injured people exceeded 2,370. In Thailand, the death toll has reached 10 in Bangkok, the capital of Thailand.
Iran’s Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmaeil Baqaei announced that Iran is ready to provide relief services, expressing sympathy and solidarity with both countries, the families of the victims and those affected by the devastating trembling.
