Speaking on the occasion of the 45th anniversary of the UAE National Day in Tehran on Tuesday, she congratulated the UAE government and people on the UAE National Day and stressed the importance of bilateral relations based on good neighborliness and common interests.
The Roads Minister stressed that the relationship between the two countries is rooted in historical, geographical and cultural ties, and these ties have laid a solid foundation for strengthening ties between Tehran and Abu Dhabi.
Khalid Abdullah Hamed Abdullah Balhoul, Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates to Tehran, pointed out that there are more than 500,000 Iranians in the UAE and that there are approximately 300 weekly flights between cities in the two countries, pointing out that these friendly relations are a clear sign that the close ties between the two countries should be further strengthened.
The ambassador called Iran one of the UAE’s major trading partners and said that the two countries have high potential to expand relations in all fields, especially in the trade and economic field.
He further pointed to the holding of the first Iran-UAE Joint Economic Commission meeting held in Abu Dhabi over the past 18 months and expressed hope that the second Joint Economic Committee meeting will be held in Tehran in the near future.
