TEHRAN – Reuters claimed Iran has issued harsh warnings to Iraq, Kuwait, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Turkey and Bahrain, declaring that support for US military strikes includes the use of airspace and territory.
He also highlighted that Islamic Revolution’s Ayatollah Seiyed Ali Khamenei has placed Iranian troops on high alert, according to a report on Sunday.
The reported warnings continue to intensify tensions after President Donald Trump followed a clear threat to military action.
Iran has strengthened its military readiness in response to the US threat and highlights Iran’s defensive resilience stance.
Reuters also observed that Arab countries in the Persian Gulf, which oppose the world’s oil supply, are caught up in delicate balancing acts as they escalate fears of a wider fire.
The media also alleged that despite rejecting Trump’s request for direct negotiations, Iran proposed continued indirect consultations through Oman, a trusted mediator.
“Indirect consultations provide an opportunity to assess Washington’s seriousness regarding political solutions,” the official told Reuters, adding that such dialogue could begin “quickly” if the US demonstrates integrity.
Foreign Minister Abbas Araguchi or his vice minister, Majid Tak Ravanchi, may have been permitted to represent Iran in Muscat, but the official warned that the road ahead could be “rocky.”
