In an interview with Fox News on Thursday, Secretary of State Rubio warned that the US will face a critical moment with Iran, curbing the Islamic Republic’s suspicions efforts to develop nuclear weapons and limit its uranium enrichment.

“When you turn 60, you’re 90% there. Essentially, you’re basically the nuclear weapons state that Iran became,” Rubio said in an interview from Turkey.
“They are at the nuclear weapons threshold. If they decide to do so, they can do so very quickly. If they’re going to enrich that 60% enough, they can turn it into a 90 and make it a weapon very quickly. That’s the risk we face now.
President Donald Trump told reporters in Qatar on Thursday that the US was approaching a nuclear deal with Iran.
While talks on Washington-Teran are underway, the Trump administration is adding to its illegal sanctions.
Iran’s oil sales to China have scored a new record, despite growing Donald Trump’s maximum pressure campaign against Tehran since returning to the White House in January, according to the latest figures.
Iran has always said that despite all hostility towards the states of the Western Province, it never seeks nuclear weapons, and that its peaceful nuclear program will continue despite all the pressure.
President Masoud Pezeshkian said on Sunday that his country has never tried to acquire nuclear weapons and has not wanted to do so in the future.
Pezeschkian said Tehran is in talks with the US on its nuclear program “so we want peace and not seek war.”
