TEHRAN — The development of rural and nomadic tourism is one of the important goals of Mahdishar Governorate of Semnan Province, said Mahdishar Governor Ali Hodadad.
According to ISNA, in a meeting with the Director of the Semnan Cultural Heritage Department, Hodadad referred to the cultural and biological capabilities of the Sansar people and said that nomadic tourism is one of the unique attractions of the Sansar people due to their language, calendar, clothing, lifestyle, and colored carpets, which has attracted many enthusiasts, especially in recent years.
He stressed that tourism is the top priority for the county’s development, adding that along with the industrial and agricultural sectors, people’s need for clean air and water resources has given tourism a more special place in the county’s development plans.
Referring to the city’s capacity for religious tourism, he said that traditional types of mourning forms, religious rituals and the presence of Hosseinye-e-Azam (Great Hosseinyeh) are among the most important religious attractions of Mahdishahr, which welcomes its enthusiasts all year round.
Khodadad added that Mahdishar City’s proximity to the provincial capital, the large temperature difference with Semnan City, and the region’s favorable climate make Mahdishar City an accessible and popular destination for tourists.
Governor Mahdishar referred to the natural and historical diversity of the city and said that Shamirzad, with its tourist attractions such as the world’s largest walnut orchard, Kamane Rustam and Sir Kare, Mahdishar city with its historical background, culture and language of the Sansar people, and Darjazin city with its gardens and natural landscapes create unique tourism potential for the city.
He said rural tourism is also booming in the city and the creation of ecotourism resorts by the people and the strengthening of tourism infrastructure by the government are playing an important role in the flourishing of this sector.
