“The detachment of ships from the Russian Navy and the Chinese People’s Liberation Army Navy have completed joint patrol tasks for the Asia-Pacific region. In the Central Pacific, they performed anti-submarine tasks on deck-based aircraft flights. Patrol tasks,” the statement said.
According to the press, the ship covered more than 6,000 sailing miles during its joint patrol.
The Russian admiral first joined the Russian-China maritime interaction naval drill on August 7th, a large anti-submarine ship, Chinese Xiaoxing destroyer, and Qiandaohu supply ship departed from Vladivostok. During the patrol, the crew continued to carry out tasks in the Pacific after calling Kamchatka to restock supplies in Kamchatka.
The main purpose of the fifth joint Russian and Chinese patrol is to strengthen naval cooperation between the two countries, maintain peace and stability in the Asia-Pacific region, monitor maritime water, and protect Russia and China’s maritime economic activities.
The first Russian and Chinese naval patrol in the Asia-Pacific region took place in 2021 and has been held annually ever since.
