During a meeting with Mazandaran Governor Mehdi Younesi-Rostami in the regional capital Sari, the Russian delegation outlined the investment plan.
Yunesi-Rostami said the potential partnership is of strategic importance from both political and economic perspectives.
The official emphasized that Mazandaran Region is open to all foreign investments, especially from Russia, due to special powers granted to the region by President Massoud Pezeshkian to build relations with Eurasian countries.
Mr. Yunesi-Rostami emphasized the economic importance of citrus fruits in the state, second only to rice, and said that investments in this sector are strategic measures to maximize the agricultural potential of the region.
The Russian side mentioned the Mazandaran Free Trade Zone as an important element of promoting bilateral trade.
During the meeting, Russian investors presented concrete proposals for investments in various areas, including the production of fruit juices, diet drinks and concentrates.
