The Russian Foreign Ministry said Monday that it has allowed Russia to resolve conditions to maintain a unilateral suspension when deploying ground-based intermediate and short-range missiles, and does not believe it is bound by previous self-imposed restrictions.
“Russia no longer has any restrictions on this issue. Russia no longer considers itself to be constrained,” Peskov told reporters, commenting on the Russian MFA statement, saying that the Russian Federation is no longer bound by a one-sided moratorium on the deployment of info-missiles.
Russia has argued that it has the right to take action on the placement of ground-based intermediate and short-range missiles when necessary, he added.
“Russia believes it has the right to take measures and measures that it responds when necessary,” Peskov responded to a question from a journalist about the Russian MFA statement, saying that Russia no longer believes it is bound by a unilateral moratorium on the deployment of INF missiles.
Sovereign countries commented on the circumstances surrounding India’s purchase of Russian oil, saying they have the right to choose their own trading partners.
