According to Press TV, the Russian mission of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) made a statement in an X Network post on Wednesday.
The resolution, submitted by the IAEA on Tuesday, denounced Iran as “non-compliance” in its nuclear mandate in order to strengthen pressure on Tehran.
In his post, Ulyanov said in the resolution “nothing new.”
“The West argues that Iran should return to full implementation of the JCPOA. At the same time, they have not shown any intention to comply with the JCPOA in terms of lifting sanctions.”
The denunciation move is expected to vote at the agency on Wednesday evening.
Iran has warned that it will respond immediately to an anti-Iranian resolution by the IAEA board.
The 2015 nuclear deal provided for the suspension of anti-Iran sanctions in exchange for restrictions on trust building restrictions on Tehran’s nuclear activity, derailed by a unilateral US withdrawal in 2018.
Iran has waited more than a year for three European parties to make up for the US withdrawal in line with the agreement, but to no avail.
The country later began walking back to some of its nuclear commitments following consent.
The European political parties in trading recently proposed that they could activate the so-called snapback mechanism.
Tehran says it is not violating the agreement and that the reduction in its commitment is a legal response to the US withdrawal from the agreement.
Iran and the US are currently in indirect discussions about replacing the 2015 deal.
The sixth round of negotiations will take place on Sunday.
