Aeroflot has announced that flights between Moscow and Tehran have officially resumed.
“On the night of August 6th and 7th, flights between Moscow and Tehran resumed. Yesterday, SU514/515 flew to the Iranian capital and returned to Moscow this morning,” the airline said.
The airline previously reported that flights will run once a week from August 6th and once a week from September 12th, with two increases on Wednesday and Friday.
The flight is operated using an Airbus A321 aircraft.
According to Russian media, Aerofrott had suspended its route in response to escalation of regional tensions following the Zionist regime’s attack on Iranian territory.
On June 13, Israel launched a military attack on Iran, causing a 12-day war that killed more than 1,064 people.
The United States joined the conflict by bombing three Iranian nuclear sites in a serious violation of international law.
Iran responded by targeting the strategic locations of Qatar’s occupied regions and the U.S. Ardido Base, the largest American installation in West Asia.
Iran’s operation on June 24 forced a halt to the attack.
