Gov. Saratov Oblast Roman Buster Gunn claimed that an unspecified “industrial company” caused a fire and emergency responders were sent to the scene. He also said the drone had damaged the residential building. No casualties have been reported, Kyiv Independence reported that it is saying as Russia’s Federal Air Transport Agency (Rosaviatsiya).
The Russian Ministry of Defense claimed that 174 Ukrainian drones were intercepted overnight, targeting 12 regions within Russia and Russian-occupied Crimea.
The Kyiv Independent could not confirm these claims.
The reported drone attack comes after a series of Ukrainian strikes against military targets within Russia.
On June 1, Ukrainian Security Services (SBU) launched Operation SpiderWeb, a massive drone attack that damaged 41 Russian heavy bombers at four major airfields across the country. The surgery reportedly targets A-50, Tu-95 and Tu-22 M3 planes parked at Belaya, Diaghilev, Olenya and Ivanovo Air Bases, causing about $7 billion in damage, the report added.
