The Russian Federation Navy vessels have arrived in the general area of the Caspian Sea 2025 Rescue and Maritime Security Practice (Casarex 2025), hosted by the Iranian Army Navy in the Caspian Sea.
The Russian Navy’s SB738 ship was welcomed by the Islamic Republic units of the Iranian Navy.
Navys from Iran and Russia are scheduled to hold joint exercises in the Caspian Sea next week.
Codenamed Casarex 2025, the Joint Maritime Rescue and Rescue Drill, begins on Monday, July 21st, in the Caspian Sea and lasts for three days.
This exercise will be hosted by the North Fleet of the Iranian Navy under the theme “Together for the Safe and Secure Caspian Sea.”
Future training will be carried out by Iranian Navy servicemen, Islamic Revolutionary Guard Navy, law enforcement orders from the Islamic Republic of Iran, and the Russian Federation Navy. It also includes observers of many states along the Caspia coast.
The rescue and relief movement aims to upgrade maritime safety and security and to enhance cooperation among the naval forces of Caspian countries.
