The book “Safeer E Noor,” which means “The Ambassador of Light,” published by Surah Meher Publications, explores the biography of Shahid Allameh Syed Arif Hussain Al-Husseini, spanning 428 pages.
In two chapters, the book explores Shiite clergy in Pakistan and leaders of the Jafarya movement.
In 1967, Arif Al-Huseini attended Najaf Ashraf University for religious studies during Imam Khomeini’s exile in Iraq, where the Baath Party came to power.
In Najaf he met Imam Khomeini, accepting his ideas, becoming both a disciple and a soldier, and admired his jurisprudence, moral, mystical and political qualities.
After the Islamic Revolution, he represented Pakistan’s Imam Khomeini and engaged in cultural, religious and political activities while dealing with the health and economic needs of the people.
His presence in Pakistan has nurtured a brave figure who supports vulnerable and opposed colonialism and raises concerns among the enemies of the Islamic Revolution.
In 1986, Allama Arif Hussain Al-Husseini was assassinated at Peshawar Islamic Research School by unknown assailants.
In 1994, Pakistan resident and colleague of Arif Husseini, Reza Khan wrote “Safe noor” and revealed the circumstances of his murder.
This 400-page book not only details the biographies of Arif Hussaini, but also demonstrates his Islamic character and resilience.
The book has been reprinted more than ten times in Pakistan, translated into Persian by Roya Javadi and Joshua Zafarhayati, and has research contributions from the Centre for Research in the Culture and Literature of Sustainability.
During the time of Arif Hussaini, Reza Khan served as head of the Imamate Student Organization in the Dera Ismail Khan division. The pharmacy graduate tried to accurately portray Arif Husseini and uncover the truth behind his assassination through interviews, document reviews and witness accounts.
The book is written in an age where modern social media is lacking and requires the author to endure the struggles of travelling extensively and gathering information.
Allama Arif Hussain Al-Husseini was born on November 25th, 1946 in Pewar, Parachinar, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan.
He received early education at government primary schools and completed his enrollment in Paratinas before pursuing religious studies at Madressa Jaffria.
He later moved to Najaf for further education, returning home in 1973 and married before returning to QOM in 1974 to join Hawza.
While studying in Najaf, he attended a prayer led by Imam Khomeini, who was in exile. Despite the risks, he was the only Pakistani to consistently pray behind Imam Khomeini, carefully absorbed his lectures and then shared insights with fellow students.
His political activities began in Najaf, where he faced harassment from the Saddam Hussein regime, but remained upset.
After his attachment to Imam Khomeini, he was ordered to leave Najaf and choose QOM.
His political activities attracted the attention of Shah’s intelligence, resulting in his arrest and torture, but he endured. Imam Khomeini recognized him Wikharat Nama and was seized in 1983 on the Iran-Pakistan border after his return.
Back in Pakistan, he began political activities through a speech at a local Shia mosque and established the Shaheed Foundation to support the families of martists.
In mid-February, the release of Safessanor’s book was held in Tehran with Iranian religious scholars present.
During the ceremony, the head of Islamic Development Organization (IDO) Hojjatoleslam Mohammad Qomi made the Pakistani personality important.
He said Arif is looking to strive to promote true Islam among Muslims and introduce this figure further.
