Ali Larijani, speaking on the sidelines of a conference titled “We and the West,” said Iranians are always looking for sanctions relief and that no one is in favor of sanctions. All the aims of the government and the country’s diplomatic institutions are towards lifting the sanctions, but no message has been delivered to the other side.
Negotiations also took place before the recent UN conference in New York, but the other side refused to accept and continue negotiations, a senior Iranian security official stressed.
Earlier, Ali Larijani, secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council (SNSC), said that Iranians need to mount a national resistance against the United States, which makes endless demands.
“We are not saying we will not negotiate. Leaders have always told us that we should negotiate, but such negotiations have to be real and the outcome cannot be told in advance,” he pointed out.
