A statement from the Foreign Ministry said Saudi Arabia “represents strong condemnation and condemnation of continuing Israeli violations, invasion of Syrian territory and interference in domestic affairs.”
The ministry said that Israel’s attacks on Syrian soils “constituently constitute a clear violation of Syrian Arab Republic, international law, and the sovereignty of the liberation agreement that ended in 1974 between Syria and Israel.”
According to the Anadoru Agency, Saudi Arabia has also reiterated its firm support for Syrian sovereignty and the categorical rejection of “separatist calls to divide Syria,” urging all parties to be involved in the dialogue and complete the reconstruction of the new Syrian state.
The ministry called on the international community to “support Syria in achieving security and stability” and to “stay seriously and firmly in the face of continued Israeli violations within the country.”
Israeli forces attacked the countryside of Kneitra, within the occupied Golan Heights liberation zone in southern Syria early Tuesday, killing one resident and arresting another.
After the collapse of Bashar al-Assad government in late 2024, Israel expanded its occupation of Goran Heights in Syria by seizing a demilitarized buffer zone that violated its 1974 release agreement.
