Saudi Arabia has conveyed sadness to Iran for the victims of the explosion at Bandar Abbas port, which killed at least 18 people and injured hundreds more.
On Sunday, King Salman bin Abdulziz al-Saud, the administrator of the two holy mosque, sent a cable of depraved dol and cable of sympathy to Iranian president Masoud Pezeshkian following the explosion at Shahid Raji port in Bandar Abbas.
King Salman expressed sincere and sympathy for Peshshkian, his victims’ families, and his brother, Iranian people. According to the Saudi Arabian news agency (SPA), he wanted a quick recovery from his injury.
Similarly, Saudi Arabia’s crown prince and prime minister Mohammed bin Salman had extended his sincere and pity for Peshishkian and the families of the victims of the explosion, hoping for the injured to recover quickly.
A massive explosion and fire at the port of Bandar Abbas in southern Iran on Saturday killed at least 18 people and injured more than 700 people, Reuters reported. Iranian President Pezeshkian ordered an investigation into the incident and sent the Minister of Home Affairs to the location.
After the blast at Bandar Abbas, the Saudi Ministry expressed sincere sadness and sympathy for Iran and the families of the victims. It also expressed its readiness to provide the assistance requested by Iranian authorities in the aftermath of this tragedy, the ministry said in a statement.
