Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Aragut and Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman reviewed the latest developments in the region at a high-level meeting.
On Tuesday evening, Iran’s Foreign Minister of Islamic Republic Abbas Araguchi met with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman and held talks.
During the meeting, both sides reviewed the status and trajectory of bilateral relations and cooperation. Iran’s foreign minister emphasized Tehran’s commitment to strengthening relations with Saudi Arabia and other neighbouring countries.
Araguchi also expressed his gratitude for Saudi Arabia’s responsible position to condemn military attacks against Iran, and outlined Iran’s views on the security situation in the region following criminal military attacks by the Zionist regime and the US. He emphasized that these attacks blatantly violate the UN Charter, international law, and the nuclear non-proliferation regime, and pose an unprecedented threat to regional peace and stability. He added that the unified and solid attitude of the regional countries towards these attacks indicates regional consensus on the need for a collective approach to combat apartheid Zionist regimes and the warming.
On his part, the Saudi Arabian prince expressed satisfaction with the increased understanding and cooperation between the two major Islamic countries, confirming that the Saudi leader is determined to continue this path and expand relations in all areas.
He repeatedly condemned Saudi Arabia’s military aggression against Iran’s territorial integrity and national sovereignty, stressing that maintaining regional peace and security depends on cooperation and dialogue between regional states. The Crown Prince expressed his readiness to support Saudi Arabia using all its capabilities to prevent further anxiety and promote diplomatic solutions.
