In a statement released on Saturday, the SCO expressed “deep concern” about Tuesday’s fire that hit a residential area in Doha.
“The Shanghai Cooperation Agency expresses deep concern over Israeli air strikes on a residential area in Doha, Doha, Doha, on September 9, 2025, and condemns the violation of Qatari’s state’s sovereignty,” the statement read.
The organization emphasized that such actions were a serious violation of the UN Charter and international law. It repeatedly opposed the use of force or threats in international relations, urging regional tensions to be resolved through “political and diplomatic means.”
The strike targeting senior Hamas negotiators maritalized six people, including Hammam Al Hayya, son of Hamas leader Khalil Al Hayya. According to Israel Hayom, the occupying forces had notified both the US and Qatari authorities before hitting Hamas’ Doha office.
The SCO, which links major powers, including Russia, China, India, Iran and several Central Asian republics, stressed that its position is consistent with international law and calls for the removal of emissions in the Middle East.
