The match held at Isfahan’s Naghsh-e Jahan Stadium saw Mohammadmehdi Mohebbi gave Sepahan the lead in the 14th minute. However, Ali Alipur equalized Persepolis five minutes before halftime, the Tehran Times reported.

Nevertheless, Persepolis was unable to take advantage of their numerical advantage as their forwards were unable to find the net.
