According to Press TV, the six-day festival, which began on Saturday at the Islamic Republic (IRIB) International Conference Centre for Iran (IRIB), featured a diverse range of works from around the world, according to TV.
The event received 4,160 entries from 40 countries, including the Netherlands, Argentina, Tunisia, Afghanistan, Russia, Peru, South Korea, Lebanon, Qatar, Syria, Italy, Singapore, Germany, Brazil, the United States, China, Ireland and Palestine.
Of these, 533 entries were assigned to the Palestinian section, with 3,627 being part of the major competition.
The festival categories included television shows, news blogs, visual arts, music videos, short films, documentaries and animated shorts from the Palestinian section.
We also welcomed entries consisting of social media output, radio shows, podcasts, written content, motion graphics, news reports, documentaries and TV shows in the main section.
The festival addresses key topics in four specialist sessions, including the development of the West Asia region after the Al-Aqsa Storm, a historic resistance operation against occupied Palestinian territory held in October 2023.
Other major areas are characterized by the role of social media in countering dominant narratives, the decline of American hegemony and the emergence of a new global order, and the influence of Israeli lobby in Western political institutions.
Additionally, the workshop features workshops on investigative journalism, political documentation, war documents, political magazine design and production, journalism focusing on issues in West Asia, managing news analysis outlets, producing video content for social media networks, co-producing international films, and managing social media networks.
