Dr. Jalal Ghafari, secretary at the 18th International Resistance Film Festival and head of Martyr Avini Art Media, said in an interview that the number of documentary submissions has increased significantly. He noted that this year high quality works have been sent to the Festival Secretariat from various parts of the country and many parts of the world, reflecting substantial growth qualitatively and quantitatively compared to previous editions. This growth promises events on par with the Islamic revolution and the front of resistance.
He said many documentaries from various institutions and organizations, including the arts and cultural organizations of the Islamic Revolution, the OWJ Arts and Media Organizations, the experimental film development centre, and the National Conference commemorating martial artists across the country, as well as many revolutionary documentaries are being held by the secretariat.
The secretary of the International Resistance Film Festival explained that for the first time in this edition, the documentary committee is planning to introduce the special award, “Morteza Badge” to the winners of the documentary section. This badge is awarded by a respected ju-describer to a documentary who demonstrates the integrity of the thinking and ideology of the Penn martian and the closest theme.
He emphasized that judging the next documentary, given the mass submissions, is one of the documentary committee’s outstanding initiatives, and is currently mobilized and ongoing with a rapid effort.
