TEHRAN – To commemorate the 25th anniversary of Italian Language Week, a cultural and artistic event centered on the promotion of the Italian language and artistic heritage was hosted by Her Excellency Paola Amadei, Ambassador of Italy to Iran, in cooperation with the Istgah Foundation managed by Mahdi Norouzi.
The event was held at the ambassador’s residence on Monday night.
In the art and music section of the event, the Istoga Orchestra performed a collection of renowned Italian classical music in a spectacular manner.
This program was organized with the efforts of the Embassy of Italy in Iran, in cooperation with the Istoga Institute for International Culture and Arts, with the aim of celebrating the richness of the Italian language and culture and highlighting the role of the Italian language in shaping world art, literature and music.
During the event, the Istgah Orchestra, made up of eight prominent Iranian musicians, performed a selection of Italian classical masterpieces. Among the works featured were excerpts from Gioachino Rossini’s opera “Barber of Siviglia,” Pietro Mascagni’s “Mezzo di Cavalleria Rusticana,” Luigi Boccherini’s “Minuet,” and “Spring” from the collection “The Four Seasons.”
