Tehran – Ambassador to Tunisia, Iran Imad al-Rafmini, emphasizing the joint cultural capabilities between the two countries and called the promotion of tourism as one of the key factors that strengthen mutual relations. He called for direct flight launches as an important step in this regard.
Al Rahmuni told Miras Aliya (CHTN) that Iran and Tunisia have co-cultural, civilized and historical commonalities that can open up the foundations of sustainable cooperation in the tourism sector.
He said that exchanges of tourists not only lead to economic development, but also helps to deepen mutual understanding among the nation. He added that launching a direct flight line between the two countries is one of the most important strategic measures to facilitate tourist visits and promote mutual tourism relations.
Referring to the successful experiences of regional countries in promoting tourism diplomacy, he added today that tourism is one effective tool in strengthening cultural, social and even political relations between countries.
Iran and Tunisia could potentially be successful models in the field of regional tourism cooperation, he said, given their unique capabilities.
