Tehran – Strawberry Festival will be held in Banemir, Babolsar, Mazandaran, the deputy director of the Department of Cultural Heritage, Mazandara said. Mehdi Es’haghi added that the festival is a tourism event that could be an opportunity for the private sector, Chtn reported.
He said all tourist facilities, particularly the tourism services office, need programs to attract tourists.
He explained that the tourism sector is an economic, social and cultural phenomenon that can be expanded through innovation and can thrive by providing appropriate services and ongoing supervision.
The weekly Strawberry Festival will begin on April 17th.
Mazandaran ranks second only to Kordestan in strawberry production. The annual Strawberry Harvest Festival may promote tourism in the state.
Iran plans to increase its strawberry production to 70,300 tonnes by 2026, growing at 1.8% per year. Since 1985, the country has increased by 2.1% per year. In 2021, Iran ranked in the 20th century, while Ukraine went ahead with 63,060 metric tons. The US, Mexico and Egypt ranked second, third and fourth, respectively.
