Ali Akbar Ahmadian of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council (SNSC) emphasized that the cooperation between Tehran and Beijing can bring security and economic prosperity to the region.
The Ahmadian spoke at a meeting Thursday with the secretary of the Central Political and Legal Committee of the Political and Legal Committee of the Chinese Communist Party of Chiang Wening, Chen Wening, Russia’s capital of Moscow.
He went on to say that today’s global security mechanisms are not fair as they are exploited by the West to serve its own interests.
Iran’s top security officials further emphasized the need to raise the level of trade exchange, consistent with the level of political relations, adding that Iran will always keep its allies informed about the course of negotiations with other political parties.
Chinese officials said on his part that Iran is one of the most influential countries in the region, and that Beijing places great importance on its relationship with Tehran.
Chen also warned against hostile plots hatched by enemies aimed at thwarting Iran-China cooperation.
He noted that bilateral relations are entering a new phase and that this cooperation will reach its highest level with the continued efforts of the country’s leaders.
Iran’s highest security council departed for Moscow on Tuesday and attended the 13th international security representative meeting for security issues.
