Tehran – It is extremely annoying that the violence has returned to parts of Syria. If calm does not recover to cities and villages on Syria’s western coast, the entire country may be burning with flames again.
Syrians have suffered greatly from more than a decade of civil war and Takfiri terrorism.
Under the leadership of Abu Mohammad al-Julani, the HTS ruled Syria in December 2024 in just a few weeks as the Army refused to resist.
Now known as Ahmed Alshara, Jurani asked his loyalists not to act violently when the militia first took control of Syria. This created hope amongst those who were told that new pages were opening up in Syrian history, especially Syrians.
It was reported that HTS had said goodbye to the violent and terrorist past. However, the massacre of Alawis, a minority group that was loyal to the Assad regime, has trembled in the hearts of the local nation.
Forbes reported on Saturday that security forces and government militias supported by armor and artillery had killed at least 38 Alawian styles in the town of Almuktareya. Witnesses also said security forces were indiscriminately targeting civilians.
Terrorists are now enjoying their free hands to vent their anger at Alawites and Christians, including terrorists from the Turkestan Islamic Party, which were poured into Syria during the Civil War and unfortunately some of them have been appointed to the top military posts in the country.
Before it is too late, Shara must declare a pardon general. He must abandon not only his words, but also his dark past in action. He should not make the mistakes he made when Bashar al-Assad was caused under the influence of the Arab Spring and crushed the protests and pushed the country in a disorderly manner.
Again, Syria will degenerate into a new cycle of violence if all Syrians of different religious and ethnic backgrounds are not seen equally.
