Amin Taraffo, Director of International Affairs, Department of Roads and Urban Development, announced on Tuesday.
The decision follows discussions from Iran’s Roads Minister and Urban Development Minister Farzane Sadek during his recent visit to Baku, and it was agreed that Tehran Baku flights will run four days a week and Tabriz Baku flights will be run twice a week.
The Civil Aviation Agency (CAO) is currently conducting negotiations and technical evaluations with the Azerbaijani authorities to implement the plan as soon as possible, Taraf said.
During his visit to Baku on April 8, Sadegu attended a meeting of the Joint Committee on Azerbaijan-Iran Economic Cooperation, which examined bilateral cooperation in transport, transport, energy, trade and other sectors.
