TEHRAN – The Presidents of the Touring and Automobile Club of the Islamic Republic of Iran (TACI) and the Kuwait International Automobile Club (KIAC) signed a strategic memorandum of understanding aimed at promoting regional cooperation in road tourism and promoting auto racing activities.
According to Iruna news agency, the memorandum was signed on Friday by TACI Director Mohammad Hossein Sufi and KIAC President Essa Hamza Al Failaqawion at an official ceremony with the participation of Mohammad Tutunsi.
The cooperation document is based on the development of joint cooperation and the strengthening of international relations in the fields of tourism and automobiles, and emphasizes the expansion of cultural and people-to-people exchanges, the promotion of land travel between the peoples of the two countries, the improvement of travel safety, the promotion of responsible travel, and the creation of new exchange platforms in the fields of automobiles and mobility.
Other provisions of the agreement include the holding of joint tourism and automotive gatherings, the provision of mutual roadside services, cooperation in the field of road safety training, the exchange of professional experience, and the facilitation of the issuance and acceptance process of international documents such as carnet de passages (customs permits).
As part of the ceremony held in Kuwait, the executive directors of the two Iranian and Kuwaiti auto clubs evaluated the signing of this cooperation document as an effective step towards developing land tourism, expanding cultural relations and strengthening friendly relations between the two countries, and emphasized its precise implementation.
