Tehran – Implementation of a plan to allow foreign passenger cars to enter Iran via tariffs issued by the Islamic Republic of Iran (TACI) (Carnet de Passage) tour and automotive club will lead to tourism development, said Taci Head Mohammad -Hossein Soufi.
At a joint meeting between TACI and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Tehran on Sunday, the Sufis introduced the history and surprising activities of TACI, explaining the pivotal role of the club in developing land tourism and countering the Iranian phobia phenomenon, the IRNA reported.
Regarding the importance of Iran’s skilled presence in international tourism fairs, he pointed out challenges such as obtaining visas for activists and executive groups, and asked the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to accelerate the process.
The Sufis also mentioned recent TACI achievements for hosting international events, including Nowruz Holidays camper and caravan family gatherings.
Deputy Minister Seyed Lasor Heidali also praised the influential activities of TACI and emphasized the role of the international organisation in boosting tourism with private vehicles.
He declared the Ministry of Foreign Affairs prepared for support and cooperation in boosting the field.
Heidary said: “The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has confirmed and emphasized the need to implement the proposed plan by TACI, promoting the temporary entry and movement of personal vehicles of foreign passengers and tourists, promoting the movement of personal vehicles to the country through the club’s issued Carnet DU passage or tariff clearance, and has announced plans that this plan is mentioned as an important requirement for the thriving of this plan. He continued that the synergistic and strategic interaction between TACI and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs will promise a new perspective in the development of international tourism and the introduction of Iran’s unique capabilities into the world.
