TEHRAN – Authorities in Sarpore Zahab, a border town in Iran’s western Kermanshah province, have successfully identified and arrested members of the Takfir terrorist network operating in the region.
Sarpore Zahab prosecutor Amir Faizi revealed that the discovery of the militant network was the result of extensive surveillance carried out by Kermanshah’s security services.
“An extremist terrorist network has been identified and tracked in Sarpol-e-Zahab,” Feige said, adding that all members of the group were arrested in a coordinated effort with judicial oversight.
Feige explained that these extremist networks rely heavily on propaganda to exploit sectarian differences and target vulnerable segments of the population, especially young people and teenagers. He urged families to remain vigilant and actively monitor their children’s social interactions to prevent their children from becoming victims of these groups.
“These extremist networks use deceptive tactics to recruit members and undermine social harmony,” he warned. “To protect children from such dangers, it is important for parents to be aware of their children’s movements and interactions.”
The prosecutor also emphasized the judiciary’s uncompromising stance in dealing with extremist groups. “The Sarpore Zahab judicial system is committed to confronting the Takfir terrorist network with utmost rigor. Legal action against its members will be ruthless,” he asserted.
