In an interview with Mehr News Agency, Spokesperson of the National Security and Foreign Policy Committee of the Iranian Parliament, Ebrahim Rezaei, reacted to those who still think that the solution to the country’s problems is talks with the United States, saying that although US President Trump recently admitted his role in planning and controlling the Zionist regime’s attack on Iran, this admission by President Trump mainly shows that the Americans are lying.
He said Americans were directly responsible for the killing of more than 1,000 innocent Iranian citizens, adding that many of these people were women, children, teenagers, schoolchildren, and university students, most of them civilians who were martyred during the 12-day war imposed by Israel.
Rezaei stressed that the United States is responsible for the deaths of thousands of innocent Iranian citizens.
“Frankly, the 12-day war is a war of the United States against the noble Islamic nation of Iran,” the spokesperson said, stressing that during the 12-day war, the Iranian people were hostile not only to the Israeli regime but also to NATO and the United States, which shows the greatness of Islamic Iran.
Therefore, “we believe that talks with the United States are meaningless because, according to US President Donald Trump’s clear admission, the United States attacked Iran during nuclear negotiations,” Rezaei stressed.
