TEHRAN – Iran on Friday unleashed a ferocious condemnation of Germany’s recent manipulation at the UN Human Rights Council (UNHRC), calling for an “interference and hypocritical” stance for accountability for conspiracy in historical and ongoing human rights abuses.
Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmaeil Baghaei has made a burnt responsibilities co-hosted by Germany on a resolution expanding the UN’s independent international fact-finding mission on Iran, branding the “political-motivated abuse” of an international mechanism designed to undermine Iran’s sovereignty.
The resolution was pushed with 24 votes, eight votes and 15 abstentions against eight, and is considered another example of the West crossed by Tehran.
Baghaei said: “Germany leverages UNHRC to advance its arbitrary stance on Iran while protecting its own shameful record of enabling atrocities across the region.”
German Arm to Israeli Genocide: Stains of its Rights Claim
Iran’s DIG station is focused on Berlin’s role as Tel Aviv’s main weapons supplier.
“Germany, the second supplier of arms to the Israeli regime, is conspiring to all crimes and terrible violations of human rights and humanitarian law against innocent people in Palestine and the region,” he declared.
Since October 2023, German authorities have approved a significant surge in arms export licenses to Israel, including advanced military components such as engine components used in Merkaba tanks, the cornerstone of the regime’s armor strategic strategy targeting Palestinian territory.
“Germany lacks the legal credibility to portray itself as a human rights sympathizer,” pointed out Bakaei, highlighting the harsh contradictions between Berlin’s sacred rhetoric and its actions.
Several Iranian officials, including Foreign Minister Abbas Aragut, have amplified the criticism and argued that Germany’s silence on Gaza’s suffering while denounced Iran, reveals a hollow moral façade.
Chemical Catastrophe: Germany’s historic co-convicts against Iranian victims
Iran’s dissatisfaction runs deeper than it is now, rooted in Germany’s unrecognised role during the Iran-Iraq War (1980-1988).
Baghaei evoked this painful history and claimed that the German state and civil sector had cooperated with the Saddam Hussein regime by providing a means of chemical weapons that have devastated Iranian civilians and soldiers.
More than 100,000 Iranians had immediate or prolonged effects from these attacks, and countless survivors fighting chronic diseases decades later were still fighting.
“Germany must prove its integrity to justice by accepting Iran’s proposal for a joint fact-finding mechanism to uncover the truth behind the corporate role in Saddam’s armament,” Baghhai demanded, reflecting Tehran’s long-standing diplomatic push.
He described this as a moral obligation. “If Germany truly values human rights, it must first stop allowing war crimes against Iranian people.”
Sharmahd Incident: German interference exposed
According to Iran’s confession to justice, Berlin supported Jamshid Sharmad, a German Ira citizen and leader of the Tondar Terrorist Group.
German retaliation measures after Sharmad’s death in prison – shamed the Iranian consulate and remembered its ambassador and elicited Tehran’s anger as explicit intervention.
“Germany punishes Iran to protect its people while spoofing human rights and protecting terrorists,” Baghey blasted, accusing Berlin of exploiting the incident and escalating the anti-Iranian agenda.
