According to Mehr News Agency, Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Esmail Baghai expressed deep anger at the continued killings and serious human rights and humanitarian violations in Gaza and the West Bank. He strongly condemned the ongoing blockade of Gaza, blocking debris removal and obstructing efforts to rebuild essential medical, medical and critical infrastructure, saying these conditions are exacerbating the humanitarian disaster amid winter cold and rain.
Bagai described these actions as part of a policy aimed at “genocide of the Palestinian people.”
The senior Iranian diplomat also pointed to the escalation of terrorist and subversive attacks by Israeli settlers in the West Bank, the repeated desecration of Al-Aqsa Mosque and Al-Ibrahimi Mosque, and the continued arbitrary detention and torture of Palestinians.
He stressed that the international community has a legal and moral responsibility to stop the crimes of the occupying regime. He said what is currently happening in the West Bank is a continuation of colonial policies aimed at eliminating Palestinians, especially after tens of thousands of civilians have been killed in Gaza over the past two years.
The spokesperson also condemned the full military and political support provided to Israel by the United States and some European governments. He said these countries had become accomplices in the Israeli regime’s crimes and stressed the need to end impunity for what he called war criminals and perpetrators of genocide.
