Abbas Araghchi took him to X and announced that he had a joint communication with E3 FMS & EU HR last night.
A top Iranian diplomat said in a conference call that he made the following points clear:
– It was the US that withdrawn from the two-year negotiation agreement adjusted by the EU in 2015, not Iran. And it was us who left the negotiation table this June and instead chose the military option rather than Iran.
– A new round of consultations is only possible if the other side is ready for a fair, balanced and mutually beneficial nuclear deal.
-If EU/E3 wants to have a role, they should act responsibly and put aside the worn-out policies of threats and pressure.
On Monday, Iran’s Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmaille Bagaei said at a briefing at a press conference that the so-called snapback mechanism has no legal or political basis, and that the threat of calling it is purely a political manipulation aimed at confronting Iran.
“With recent developments over the past few weeks, it’s more pointless than ever to resort to such unfounded mechanisms that undermine legal, ethical or political basis,” he added.
He believes Iran is still a party to the JCPOA, and stressed that the decline in commitment is a legitimate response to trade violations in the US and other political parties. He pointed out this is the correct thing outlined in the JCPOA.
Baghaei also criticized European political parties for continuing to misuse snapback clauses while failing to support his obligations under the contract. “They have no legal or moral status to activate such mechanisms,” he concluded.
Tehran and Washington engaged in negotiations led by Iranian Foreign President Abbas Aragut and President Donald Trump’s foreigner Steve Witkov, who held five rounds of indirect talks through Oman when Israel launched a series of unattacked attacks.
The Zionist regime fought a war of attack on Iran on June 13, attacking Iranian troops, nuclear and residential areas for 12 days, but the US carried out a military attack on three nuclear facilities in Iran, Natanz, Fordou and Isfahan on June 22.
Iranian troops carried out a powerful counterattack shortly after the attack. The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Aerospace Force implemented 22 waves of retaliation missiles against the Zionist regime as part of Operation True Promise III, which caused significant losses to cities throughout the occupying territories.
In response to the US attack, Iranian forces fired waves of missiles at Aldead Air Force Base in Qatar, the largest US military base in West Asia.
The battle was stopped due to a ceasefire that came into effect on June 24th.
