The International Military Sports Council, commonly known as the CISM, was founded in France in the 1940s and was tasked with linking military skills to related sports fields.
Founded in the aftermath of World War II, CISM aimed to promote military peace and friendship worldwide through competitive sports.
Today, it boasts over 140 member Nations, hosts a variety of championships, and is the cornerstone of military movement development around the world.
