Tehran – Tehran is scheduled to hold the 18th International Tourism and Related Industry Exhibition from February 11th to 14th, attracting tourism bureaus, media representatives and social media influencers from around the world.
Representatives from 14 countries will be taking part in the event, including Tajikistan, Brazil, Iraq and Bangladesh, according to Islem Shohai, Director of Marketing and Tourism Development, Ministry of Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts.
Notable attendees include the head of Tajikistan’s tourism institutions, the country’s Minister of Tourism, the Secretary-General of the Asian Cooperation Dialogue (ACD), and the Secretary-General of the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO), who is the representative of the United Nations Tourism. Organization (UN Tourism), Brazil’s Deputy Minister of Tourism, Representative of Iraq’s Ministry of Tourism, and Bangladesh’s delegation.
The exhibition also welcomes 15 international influencers from the US, Pakistan, Kenya, Bangladesh and Zimbabwe. Collectively, these influencers have around 45 million people and are expected to generate extensive media coverage of the event.
Exhibitors from countries such as the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Turkey, Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, Russia, Tajikistan, Armenia, Venezuela and Madagascar will also hold booths at the exhibition, officials added.
Regarding media coverage, Shojaei said 35 journalists from 19 media representatives from 10 countries have registered to cover the event, further amplifying its global reach.
