According to the Moscow-based Kommersant newspaper, Russia’s Ministry of Industry and Trade has signed a contract with Nano and Micro Technology Development Headquarters, the division of Iran’s vice president for a science, technology and knowledge-based economy.
The new agreement is part of the growing cooperation between Russia and Iran in the technology sector, seeking to establish sustainable production chains and explore new markets.
Under the agreement, one of the leading Russian nanotechnology companies, Zelenograd Nanotechnology Center (ZNTC), will work closely with Iranian partners to focus on the production of advanced nanolithographic equipment, communications multiplexers and automotive sensors.
ZNTC general director Anatoly Kovalev has expressed his enthusiasm for the new partnership.
Products developed through this joint initiative are expected to be available in both the Russian and Iranian markets.
