Iran’s Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmail Baghaei accused Canadian G7 foreign minister in a statement on Iran’s Islamic Republic of the claims of being completely baseless and deceptive.
Baghaei explained the accusations that Iran’s actions in the region have become unstable as a clear distortion of truth and malicious predictions by the authors of the statement. Referring to the illegal, irresponsible, and interventionist acts of Western Asia’s G7 member states, particularly military, financial or political support for the Genocide Israeli regime, he emphasized that members of the group must be held responsible for misconduct regarding peace and stability in West Asia and for conspiracy to human rights violations in human rights violations.
A spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs also emphasized that Iran’s nuclear activities are in line with the country’s technical and industrial needs and international rights and obligations under the non-enhancing treaties and protection agreements. He calls the G7 concerns about the issue “basic” and simply reflects the “political approach” of certain G7 members.
Baghaei highlighted Iran’s leading role in promoting a nuclear-weaponless Middle East, saying that the occupying Zionist regime is the only obstacle to achieving this goal. He said the administration enjoys full support from the G7 countries and continues to promote crimes and serious violations of humanitarian and human rights laws in Gaza and the West Bank, as well as acts of attack on regional countries, and to develop weapons of mass destruction. Baghaei added that the administration poses a serious threat to international peace and security.
He reaffirmed the intransitable rights to protect the Iranian people, the territorial integrity, and sovereignty against any threats and attacks. Baghaei emphasized that it is necessary for Iran to develop military defense capabilities for this purpose, adding that the country’s defense capabilities not only ensure national security, but also protect the peace and security of Western Asia.
He further rejected repeated irresponsible anti-Iranian claims made by the G7 regarding the Ukrainian War. Baghaei reiterated Iran’s principled policy of opposing the war and supporting conflict resolution through dialogue and diplomatic negotiations between the war parties.
He emphasized that Iran’s Islamic Republic is never involved in the Ukraine conflict, and that accusers should argue for changes in the condemnation and fix their flawed policies rather than consider themselves superior.
