The forum aims to strengthen economic, trade, science and technological cooperation between coastal states in the Caspian Islands. Key topics include healthcare, energy, finance, tourism, investment in free trade zones and logistics.
On the first day of the forum, we will discuss the following topics in areas such as trade, industry, agriculture, economics, customs, banking, investment cooperation, transportation, transportation, engineering services, environment, health, tourism, and more. Cooperation, energy cooperation, including oil, gas, electricity, and renewable energy, scientific and technical cooperation.
On the second day, the five Caspian coastal state prime ministers will sign a final declaration that will strengthen cooperation and outline measures to implement the agreement through regular ministerial follow-up.
The first Caspian Trade and Economic Cooperation Agreement was signed in Kazakhstan in August 2018 and ratified by Iran’s parliament in January 2023. Under Article 5 of the Agreement, the Caspian Economic Forum is held regularly in each coastal state.
The second forum was held in Moscow in October 2022, attended by former Iranian vice president Mohammad Mokker and other leaders. During that meeting, it was agreed that Iran would hold its third edition in 2024.
