TEHRAN – The second international symposium on “Family, Future and Sustainable Bonds” was held on Monday, attended by President Massoud Pezeshkian and Speaker of Parliament Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf.
The world’s rapid development is changing social structures and family systems, necessitating a strategic and forward-looking approach to examining and rethinking the role of the family in today’s society.
As the primary environment in which children are raised, families play a vital role in shaping a society’s culture, values, and future. The second conference on “Families, Futures and Sustainable Bonds” therefore focused on the challenges and opportunities facing families in terms of culture, education, technology, media, rights and health.
The main topics of the conference centered on “Family, Culture and the Arts”, “Family, Education and Technology”, “Family, Communication and Media”, “Family and Rights”, and “Family and Health”.
Art learning in the family, digital and AI-based education, social media and digital-based lifestyle, human rights in Iran and the world, violence in the family, physical and mental health of the family, AI and health were among the issues discussed.
Addressing the conference, Ms. Khalibaf emphasized the role of women in politics, economics, culture, athletics, and science, saying that the Islamic revolution has enabled women to play important roles both in the home and in society.
Iranian women act as a barrier against enemy threats. They are a key element of national resilience.
The official paid tribute to the women who resisted the 12-day war with their families and were victims of terrorism by the Israeli regime.
Referring to the Seventh National Development Plan (2023-2027), the official said that family and women are the backbone of any country’s development. Family is the main social asset of society. “Once a country weakens, it also loses its power.”
