TEHRAN – Major General Hossein Salami, commander-in-chief of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard (IRGC), addressed senior military officials on Saturday, repeating Iran’s defensive stance while warning the enemy of devastating consequences.
“We will not start a war, but we have overwhelming power to stand up to the attack,” he declared, emphasizing that psychological and military conflicts only strengthen the nation’s resolve.
Salami marked an illegal attack by the Israeli regime on the Iranian Damascus Consulate in April 2024. The Damascus Consulate in Iran has killed senior IRGC commanders, including Brigadier General Mohammadre Zazahedy, as a turning point for recent events in West Asia.
“The attack marked the beginning of a global conflict,” he said, describing it as a pivotal moment in Islamic history.
The subsequent true promised operations (Iran’s retaliatory missiles and drone strikes against the Israeli regime) invaded what Salami called “the most strengthened airspace in history.”
“Our missiles have permeated the illusion of safety,” the general said.
Salami also laughed at Tel Aviv’s reliance on Washington, comparing it to “Zero added to American ones. Cropping off weapons will break down.”
“Gaza is the most amazing story in history.”
The general also praises the resilience of the Palestinians in Gaza, describing it as the most surprising story in history.
“We are faced with an annoyed and nervous enemy who can’t defeat unarmed people,” Salami said.
The commander argued that the solidarity would be extended to Yemen’s Ansarrah, Lebanon’s Hezbollah and Iraqi factions, forming a “unbreakable front of the profession.”
The IRGC chief spoke about a series of “painful but galvanized events,” including the “suspecting poech blast” and the assassination of Israel, as well as a series of “painful events” that include Hezbollah’s commander and the “spiritual compass of Islamic resistance,” and leaders such as the saideyed Hassan Nasrala, such as the IRGC commander Abbas Nilfour faction.
“These sacrifices are not endpoints, they are points that change the points in our eternal struggle,” he emphasized.
Salami praised the “heroic resilience” of the alliance’s axis, emphasizing that despite expanding regional pressure, Iran and its partners “remaintained in defending justice and facing occupation.”
He dismissed the enemy’s claim that such a strike “crippled resistance,” and instead argued that the axis “eliminates the “year of heroic war of attrition” on the northern front” while providing unparalleled support for Gaza’s besieged brothers and sisters.
“Every inch of the occupying area is a goal within our reach.”
The commander blames the “archaic illusion” of Iran’s deterrence becoming weaker, saying, “The enemy mistakenly calculates, thinking we will succumb to the ultimate. We are the IRGC. We are born from the trench of sacred defense, molded for epic battles, and are faithful to the path of ashes.
Turning to the enemy’s strategic vulnerability, the commander warned that “the vast presence throughout the region has become Achilles’ heels. Every inch they occupy will be targeted within our relentless range.”
“If resistance is declining, why did the enemy accept the ceasefire or fail the target?” he challenged.
Salami dismissed claims of Iran’s weakness amidst the Syrian turmoil, stressing that Tehran’s role is limited to breaking ISIS.
He also said that denouncement of Iran for Syrian agenda reflects a miscalculation by the enemy.
“The Resistance Front has not yet deployed its full capacity and instead chooses to restrain the scope of the conflict,” the commander said, “Escalation unleashes fire beyond imagination.
