Royal Institute
Founded in 1991 by the late Dr. Saeid Kazemi Ashtiani and a group of researchers and doctors from the Iranian University of Medical Sciences at the Iranian Centre for Education, Culture and Research (ACECR), the Royan Institute of Medical Sciences, and as an outpatient surgical centre, Royan Institute provides medical services to infertile couples and provides reproductive science research and training.
Reproductive biomedicine and stem cell biology and technology have been demonstrated since 2000 to be one of the most successful experiences of scientific congregations in Iran and West Asia.
In 2002, the research field of Royan Institute also expanded to stem cell research. The findings were subsequently coordinated for the application of regenerative medicine and cell therapy approaches. Thirty years later, the Royan Institute focuses on improving the success rate of infertility treatment, along with levels of embryonic health and public health through cell therapy clinical services.
Over the last 20 years of active involvement in sharing and exchanging scientific knowledge and expertise with well-known scientific institutions and scientists, the Royal Council has helped shape many shared science projects and exchanges.
